Not only that, but pumpkins, watermelons, cats and much more. For the love of all that is ripe. It’s time to… Ready, Aim, Splat!

Review: I’ve got some good news and some bad news. The bad news is there is a zombie apocalypse going on and you seem to be the only survivor. The good news is you have a have found a lot of tomatoes that you can shoot them with! Yep, this game is just as crazy as it sounds. Using the Oculus Touch Controllers you get given a slingshot and a never-ending supply of tomatoes. Then, wave after wave you need to take them down by splatting them as fast and as hard as you can.

But the fun doesn’t stop there. With 8 In-Game Powerups, some fun cartoon visual and a good variety of locations to shoot them in. The rules are simple: Survive as long as you can! Sadly you only have a small play area so keeping them away is a matter of being strategic on which ones you shoot first because like all games in this style some are quicker than others and some require a lot more effort to kill.

While this game is all fun and games at the start, it soon turns into a real battle for survival. Even by the 5th wave I was starting to struggle with the seemingly never-ending hoard of zombies approaching me from all angles. I did like the massive amount of unlockables in this game and it gives you a great excuse to play much longer than you otherwise might of.

At the end of the day, this game can get repetitive quickly and even with its cartoon graphics and comedy style it can still get a little scary in the heat of the battle meaning it is probably best not played by kids under 12. But I reckon it really gives you it’s money’s worth provided you are a completionist like myself. People who are in it for the short-term might feel a little disappointed.
