Review: I have to say ‘Rise: Race The Future’ is a damn sight better than its own Steam reviews might suggest. This is a pretty diverse singleplayer only racing game. Not only does it look good in VR, but there is also loads of content to be enjoyed. OK, so its arcade racing style might not be to everyone’s tastes, but those of us who grew up on games like Ridge Racer will feel right at home here. It’s not just car racing, the car also turns into a boat which drastically changes the feel of the game. With hundreds of challenges set over a massive 64 races, this game has the right price and the right feel for a great racing game that I personally feel sells itself a little short. Just be aware that this is a racing game so in VR it can be quite nauseating.
