Our Solar System (Gear VR)
Intro: It includes five lessons, and the total experience time is about 40 minutes. The first lesson describes the formation of the solar system; the second lesson presents our Earth and the Moon; the third lesson introduces the inner planets, including Mercury, Venus, Earth and Mars; the fourth lesson introduces outer planets, including Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto; the final lesson describes the structures of solar system’s planets and compares the different size of each planet.
Verdict: With so many other Space exploration apps for the Gear VR you have to bring something new to the table each time and to be fair “Our Solar System” brings a much more Classroom friendly style to it as each experience or planetary fly around is done in a mission style. With some great 3D graphics and loads of educational content from full voice narration to quizzes and pop-up information points, this app really packs a lot in. I feel it doesn’t bring much more to the table than say other apps like Titans of Space, but its presented a lot better. If you have an interest in space yourself or maybe you want your little ones to experience space in a way only VR can deliver, this is well worth a purchase.
