Description: Soundscape lets you create electronic music in a futuristic environment. On huge screens you can add musical notes, change effects and influence the characteristics of one of three instruments. You can choose to do this alone or jam along with 2 other randomly selected people. The notes are based on a pentatonic scale which means whatever notes are selected it will always sound good (well, most of the time). There is a handy tutorial mode for people who start the experience for the first time. Soundscape is meant for those who enjoy playing with music. Jam along!

Review: While Soundscape is an interesting idea its far to simple to make anything in-depth, even when it comes to the most basic elements of electronic music. Sure, its more fun than you might think and I was happy to play around with it for a short while, but with my own lack of musical talent and lack of templates to listen to I soon found myself getting bored. There will be people out there who will enjoy this and spend hours messing around with all the effects. But that person simply wasn’t me. If you think you might like this sort of musical experience the chances are good that you might well enjoy it. But if you are not sure its best left alone.
