Review: There are quite a few photo filter fun apps out there, not a lot that runs in VR admittedly, but still some good apps. To be honest, this can compete with the best of them! With over 100 filters, hand gesture controls and a built-in camera option it is easy to use. You can then share those images wherever you like across most major social media channels. But you always get that feeling that it could have been a little bit better every step of the way. From the design, to the choice of filters. But as a concept, it is a pretty good attempt.

There is lots to see and do with a Gear VR, but augmented reality has been deeply left out. Is Spectacle really the app to fill this gap? Sadly not, sure it is a lot of fun and it does have some great features and filters. But ultimately you will play with this for a few minutes, snap friends and various household objects then move on very quickly. If you want an app that is a bit of fun to have with friends, this is it.
