Description: Surge is one of the first real-time VR music videos created for the new generation of VR headsets and gives an amazing insight in the possibilities of VR as a medium for music videos. The seamless fusion between music and visual effects come to life in an overwhelming experience which transports the viewer into a world caught in a permanent sunset, inhabited by mysterious abstract creatures. You have to see it to believe it.

Review: We have seen quite a few collaborations of music and virtual reality over the years, but Surge takes it to a whole new level. This often creepy and surreal VR experience video has been designed to give you the experience of the music itself. Featuring Tetris blocks and vibrating floors this is a stunning 3D experience that really just plays the music over the top of your own emotions while you experience the sounds themselves. Now that sounds a little bit like gobbledygook, but it is one of those experiences that you just have to listen to (and watch) yourself.

Being able to feel the music is something VR does well and in this musical VR experience video, you will discover how good it can be. The music might not be to your own tastes, but it is still worth watching it anyway just to experience it. Is this the future of music videos? Maybe it is, but when will future musical experiences like this start costing us money to experience? We guess it will be sooner rather than later. But for now, this one is free and well worth a download.
