Description: The scariest story of all time is now yours to experience in five unique episodes if you dare. Wolf & Wood, the award-winning team behind ‘A Chair in A Room: Greenwater’ presents a new experience in terror. The Exorcist: Legion VR is a fully interactive, multi-chapter story set in the world created by horror maestro William Peter Blatty. Delve deep into the heart of the supernatural as you learn the trade of demonic exorcism and uncover secrets leading you towards a final confrontation with your darkest, most hidden fears. The Exorcist: Legion VR is a part investigation, part exorcism… and all horror. Is your willpower strong enough?
Review: You don’t need me to tell you The Exorcist: Legion VR is scary as hell and you will be crying like a little baby on several occasions. It looks great, feels deeply immersive and it just about all you would have wanted, expected and needed from a game with the ‘Exorcist’ brand name. The problem is that this is a little expensive costing over £5 per episode and each episode lasting just over 20 minutes. Sure, you could play them again to find all the story parts, but then the jumpscares will seem boring and so will the experience. This collection that I am reviewing includes ‘Chapter 1: First Rites’, ‘Chapter 2: Idle Hands’, ‘Chapter 3: Skin Deep’, ‘Chapter 4: Samaritan’ and ‘Chapter 5: The Tomb’.
So is it worth a download? I have to say it is, even if I do think it is overpriced. It looks great and like almost all VR horror games it is super scary, leaving you living in fear of your life on several occasions. For those of us who love the films, this is a must-download, but also, anyone who loves VR horror should definitely give this series a go.
