Review: ‘The Last Taxi’ sees you playing the role of a taxi driver in a futuristic city as you travel about meeting new and interesting people. But this isn’t a driving game, it is more an interactive story-based adventure. There are some interactions with the car, but you can’t drive it as such. The good news is the storyline and character conversations are fun and mildly interesting. Sure, some of the lipsyncing sucks, but most of the time you can believe you really are sitting there listening to their stories. The graphics and animation really sell the setting and to be fair it does look like a premium game.

While I do get people’s complaints that they can’t drive the taxi, or that there isn’t enough variety in content if you are willing to get into the game’s world, read all the news stories and enjoy the lore of the game you can find your money’s worth here. But I also get that this is not going to be for everyone and there are some bugs which can spoil your enjoyment. The best advice I can give is that if you are not sure it will be right for you do check out some gameplay videos of it on Youtube. Personally, I really did enjoy the game, but I can see why many people do not.
