Review: ‘The Morrigan’ is a pretty traditional dungeon crawler action game based around a king trying to rescue his daughter after he essentially sold her to an evil wizard. The daft story put aside, this is a pretty great game that feels traditional without being dated. While the game is mostly an action game there are elements of climbing and exploring as well as a few puzzles, but not quite enough of those other things to consider this an adventure game. The best news of all is that the main action of the game is surprisingly satisfying and at times quite physical. You won’t get away with a little bit of sword waggling here. Sure, the graphics are a little low-poly, but the sheer amount of content in-game easily makes up for it. If you like this sort of game I can’t recommend this one highly enough.
