Review: As a point of reference going into this review, Fireproof Games have been making escape room games for years. Not just indie games, but high-quality escape room games sadly none of which have been playable in VR (fingers crossed for some backwards compatible games). ‘The Room VR: A Dark Matter’ is the first VR game from them and to be fair it is a belter of a game. This is not just a game ported into the VR world, it was clearly made for VR by someone who cares a lot for the technology. The game is a classic escape room style with some of the cleverest puzzles and clues you will find in this genre, and they are all wrapped in some pretty great graphics. While it did take me over 4 hours to finish I could see some people doing it in far less, but I am sticking with the £24.99 as good value for money as the quality of this game does speak for itself, even if you rushed through it, you should still appreciate it.
