The Well (Gear VR)
Intro: Explore Tholl, a world beyond your imagination! On this fantastic planet, peaceful villagers live in harmony while barbaric tribes keep to their wilderness. Into this world where nothing changes arise the Tesh, a demonic force bent on destruction. The Oracle summons YOU to Keep the Balance. You must recruit allies, brave the wilderness, explore the mysteries of Tholl and defeat the Tesh before they unmake the world!
Verdict: If “The Well” was a traditional PC RPG that was released on Steam it might not get much notice from people. But in VR and running on the Gear VR its pretty hard not to notice it! Sadly being a VR fan it’s hard to admit that there simply aren’t many games that offer big adventures and runtimes, but “The Well” offers just that. Set inside a fairly large world (not as big as many classic RPG’s) Its designed for VR and it makes you want to look all around and soak it all in (also to look for hidden signs). The combat is more than adequate as is the variety of moves, items, enemies and non-combat characters.
As I said, on a console or PC this might not get noticed, but in VR its quality and long gameplay hours shines like a bright light. This game isn’t worth it’s asking price…its worth a lot more than it. At long last, a VR RPG all us Gear VR owners can be proud of.
