Review: Very Star is pretty much a dancing “experience” for people who love Hatsune Miku and other virtual dancers. While I do give it credit for looking good, being able to play your own music and “dance” to your own videos the one thing it needed to be good at it fails miserably at. At its heart, this is a rhythm beat game and there is simply no order or “rhythm” to the interactions, it’s pretty much pressing randomised actions and watching the character dance! No skill needed, no way to feel part of the dancing and no way to get immersed in it!

While I am willing to accept some people will love this game because they love virtual dancers Hatsune Miku, its lack of in-beat rhythm actions makes me hate it with a passion. I gave this game a silver just because you can use your own music and play your own videos. But if you’re looking for a music rhythm beat game, this is definitely not it.
