Overall Packaging Presentation: While it wouldn’t be an instant buy in the shops, the VR Case V6 does looks pretty good. If you had received this item as a gift, you wouldn’t be disappointed at all. Inside of the box, the headset is nested inside a plastic tray for even more protection. Overall, it looks very presentable and well packaged.

First Impressions: Getting it out of the box, I couldn’t help but notice how big and heavy it is. With a backwards tipping point it is not that well weights, but at least the weight isn’t all in one place, this is just a naturally heavy headset, mostly thanks to its large build. But that does mean it feels really strong and to be fair the whole headset looks very well made. Pretty impressive so far!

Features Review: With adjustable focus distance and pupil distance, air-flow face padding and a magnetically attached controller (which we got to work after a while) it has pretty much all you need. Sure, it is a little heavy, but the good news is the head strap does disperse a lot of the weight. Not all of it, but enough to cushion the weight.

Final Verdict: From the outside, the VR Case V6 is a fantastic headset, that even comes with a controller that works well. It looks great and has all the things you need to enter VR straight from the box. But there is bad news. This headset simply isn’t comfortable to wear. It’s not the weight of the headset as I have quite a big strong head and neck, but it is the shape of the face padding. For a start it doesn’t curve around enough and also it doesn’t sit right on the face, meaning you have to hold it up to see what you are doing! I think that is such a shame because this could have easily been one of the very best mobile VR headsets we’ve reviewed. But instead, it is a nice try that fails terribly on the comfort and immersion side. Yep! The two main sides you want it to excel at for virtual reality.
