Review: Those of us old enough to expect this to be an updated version of the classic light gun shooter on the NES are going to be a little disappointed. But if you don’t know that old game (it was released over 30 years ago) you might find some fun here, if only for a short while. Set in a marshland the goal is to shoot as many ducks as you can in 3 minutes. There is no cartoon style shooting here, this is the serious sport of duck hunting and some people will find it offensive.

The app as a whole works well and you can shoot with either the NFC button or a gamepad. While aiming is a little difficult you soon get the hang of it and start bagging wildlife like there is no tomorrow. While not amazing graphics it does look OK and it has a good frame rate. If you’re into shooting this might well be a little bit of fun back at the game club house. For the rest of us, it’s a good distraction if not an overly competitive game. More of a serious duck shooting simulator than a fun arcade classic game.
