VR News: Police officers were once trained using a real person with a rubber knife and “blank” taser cartridges. My Thoughts: While this is far from the first time we have seen VR used for police training it is the first time UK Police have used it for Taser Training. I love the taster gun accessory and I can only presume it was custom made or even 3D printed. If it helps the police to feel confidant in using one I am all for it, especially if the simulation placed them in a highly stressful situation. This is yet another good use of VR that I didn’t think of and it just goes to show the seemingly endless possibilities of VR technology.
