Description: VReakout is a modern re-imagining of the classic brick breaker genre with a virtual reality twist and designed for the HTC Vive VR System. Your mission is in deep space where you clear the areas before getting sucked into the Black Hole. Don’t look back. Breakthrough the levels within the time limit. How many balls will it take you? This game is one to add to your Vive exercise routine.

Review: VReakout is supposed to be a modern remake of the classic Brick breaker genre of games like Arkanoid. But you don’t get any boring bricks to break or a paddle to bounce the ball off of. With VReakout you chuck fireballs at the bricks until the level is clear of them! This leads to some awesome looking particle effects and at times it looks pretty good.

Sadly I would still rather play the original Arkanoid on an Atari console than play this in VR. While it is fun to fire at the bricks there is no real challenge because the balls don’t come back. It’s like a shooting game with fireballs instead of bullets. Top this off with the high asking price of £5.59 and you won’t be seeing a recommendation from me any time soon. But having said that do keep an eye out for it in a sale as because those of us who love a bit of retro gaming will enjoy this game for a short while, just nowhere near long enough to justify the full-price.
