Description: Warplanes: Battles over Pacific opens the next chapter in aviation history. Become a World War II pilot and take part in the campaign against the Empire of Japan. The sequel to the hit Warplanes: WW1 Fighters, takes dogfight to a new level.

Realistic graphics and intuitive controls enhance the gameplay experience. The new flight model will make you feel the power, speed and handling of the most popular American and Japanese aircrafts. The technological leap between World War I and World War II made aviation the leading branch of the military and changed war forever…

Review: ‘Warplanes: Battles over Pacific’ is an arcade-style dogfighting game in which you will be taking to the skies and shooting down the enemy (and a few other things). There are currently 10 WW1 warcraft to earn with points, but you get one for free at the start to be going on with and all of them have customisable colour schemes which makes it feel a little more personal when you are playing multiplayer. While it does have to be said the graphics are low-poly once you are flying about it still feels pretty good with both thumbstick and hand-grab style controls and it even supports HOTAS if you have it.

The game itself ticks a lot of good boxes. It’s cheap, its got potential and it is super easy to play. But the lack of both single-player content and the lack of online players means this game feels kind of empty. Sadly most people will play War Thunder over this which is a shame. If you can get some friends to play this with you it is worth a look, otherwise, I would wait and see if more single-player content gets added before giving it a go. While I did give the game a Silver rating that is more about the potential it has rather than its current state at time of review.
