Review: If you were a fan of sideways scrolling space shooters like R-Type you will feel instantly nostalgic playing ‘2076 – Midway Multiverse’. This space shooter sees you playing in a variety of ways from inside the ship with cockpit view to outside the ship and interacting with the environment. What i like about this game is that the developers have really tried their best to bring that manic action of the sideways scrolling space shooter into VR. Sadly at times, it doesn’t quite work and you can often lose where your ship is at causing you to crash and then in the cockpit view things don’t feel that great because you have very limited movement.

Don’t get me wrong, this is a fun game and well worth a look, but it is still an Early Access Game so it still needs some work. Also, the price point is a little high given the amount of content, but if you are a score chaser you could easily get your money’s worth here. I did enjoy playing it I really did, but there are times it can feel frustrating and limited which does suck the fun out of it a little bit.
