Butts: The VR Experience
Intro: “BUTTS: The VR Experience” is an animated VR short about love, trust, and learning what it means to be truly free. With the latest VR technology one can transport oneself into a brand new bright and colorful world of happiness and excitement, and make some friends along the way. “BUTTS: The VR Experience” will make you laugh, cry, fill you with unimaginable bliss, and return you to that innocent place of child like wonder you’ve long forgotten.
Review: Butts: The VR Experience is an immersive cartoon short animation featuring some rather odd characters and goings on. Oh, and plenty of butt jokes. Designed as a seated experience you follow the story of one…”thing” trying to cheer up another…”thing”. I say thing like that because they are some weird man / humanoid like creature.
To cut the story short one man comes across another who is sad and farts. The sad man finds this funny and then starts to fart himself. Then they both go off into the sunset farting as they go. Yeah, it sounds weird, but at times it can be quite an emotional rollercoaster.
Verdict: Is it really worth paying for a short VR cartoon animation? Well, yes but not to get value for money, but to show support in these early days of VR animations. Chances are good that you might not find it funny or amusing, but by supporting them they can make more of these VR short films and hopefully it will be one you will like. Paying for this app is not about just about supporting the makers of this app, it’s about supporting VR short films as a whole and that is a worthy cause indeed.
