Review: et’s face it. For most of us a good VR camera is going to be unaffordable for a very long time to come. But the good news is you can now take placebo effect VR photos with the Cardboard Camera app. With a range of cool features like long exposure, sound recording and easy ‘one take’ images. You can then move around images meaning it is both fun and very easy to make your own 360 photos.

Sadly it will only take strip style images that mean you can’t look up or down, but you can look around. Sure, it’s not as good as a real 360 camera or a dome camera image, but it’s pretty good. Let’s hope one day we see real 360 cameras built into our smartphones.
