Description: A Virtual Reality Grappling Hook! CloudBound is a VR platformer where the player uses a Grappling Hook gun to swing, climb, and fling their way to the top of each level. Using our DFoV System (“Dynamic Field of View”) we’ve managed to dramatically reduce simulation sickness to the point that users can move comfortably at high speeds! Don’t take our word for it, let us know what you think!
Review: CloudBound is very much like Windlands in which you have two grappling hooks and instead of having to explore you need to get to the top of the tower. While a little basic in graphics it still feels pretty great to play and the swinging mechanism feels great (if a little nauseous) This could have been something great, something much bigger than it currently is. But sadly size is the biggest problem with this…”game”.
With only 1 level that lasts 10 mins if you are lucky that £4.99 asking price is a hard amount to swallow and there is hardly enough to even justify telling you to download it even if it was just £1! But I think this is one of those fun little tech demos that you might get in a bundle and enjoy. Its a real shame it is so short as it really is a great experience.
