Could VR be the future of Art Museums? The Phoenix Art Museum thinks so!

VR News: If you happen to be popping into the Phoenix Art Museum you will get to change to see Bowie, Warhol, Scharf exhibits in a whole new way thanks to three virtual reality films that you can download for your smartphone. The exhibit will be available from Aug. 11 until Sept. 30.

My Thoughts on this Story: While I don’t know that much about Kenny Scharf I think David Bowie and Andy Warhol would have loved this. While VR and art are an unlikely pairing we have seen it work time and time again, especially with VR apps like Mocove Arts and Art Plunge. If you are going to the Phoenix Art Museum anyway it will be a pleasant way to see the art of these people in new and exciting ways and I hope it brings them lots of extra foot-flow.
