Description: Dim Light, a hit horror adventure game on Android, is now available on Gear VR. Can you be the one to escape from pitch-black madness? I may be the last human being who figures this situation is “unnatural…” And I’m pretty sure that I’m right. Others seem uninformed about all of this. The dark quietly hid itself and made creepy noises. Finally, they brought “them,” and they darkened the entire hospital with madness. So… today, I will escape from this hell. The dim light shining from very far ahead will eventually save my life.

Review: Sadly for people like myself, VR horror games can send you into fits of fear at the drop of a hat without the need for amazing graphics. The good news is Dim Light is not that extreme and dare I say is the softest horror game I have so far played in VR. That doesn’t mean it is not entirely without its jumpscare, with its heartbeat sounds and dark setting it can still deliver them. But its top-down perspective means you are taken out of that super scary environment and able to stay a lot calmer. There will be people out there who will not enjoy its slow-paced, top-down style, but not being a fan of VR horror I found it a nice change from the norm. But many others will most probably disagree with me.
