Description: A VR spell-casting experience! Greyhelm forest is on the verge of being completely corrupted by the undead, this looks like a job for an almighty and powerful wizard! Oh, he’s booked out is he? Damn…Well, perhaps you will be up for the challenge!
Review: Evoke is a cartoon style wave shooter in which you will be using a variety of magic spells to dispatch your enemies which are mostly skeletons. Graphically the game looks good with a fun Halloween style to it, but when it comes to gameplay this game sadly falls apart a little bit. While the spells and their sound effects are nice the enemy just walk towards you and don’t offer any really challenge until the later stages when they don’t so much as challenge you, but swamp you until you die. If you paid just 1/3 of the current £15.49 asking price you should get your money’s worth here, but I don’t feel like this game is worth anything more than that. A good game overall I suppose, just let down by lack of variety in gameplay.
