Review: Mecca might get its name after a city in the Hejaz in Saudi Arabia, but this is not just about the city. This app is about the whole pilgrimage to Mecca which millions of Muslims from all over the world take. This sacred act is called Hajj and every Muslim is expected to make the journey at least once in their lifetime. But sadly many to not due to ill health or lack of funds to travel there, and that is where this app comes into it.
Part of education about the whole pilgrimage, and also a chance for people to see it for themselves if for whatever reason they can’t make it, this app is as good as doing the pilgrimage yourself. Not only does this app aim to educate people about Hajj, but also show those unfortunate enough not to make it just what it is all about. With so much being misunderstood about this sacred Muslim act, it is good to have an app that not only teaches you but shows you what it is all about. You don’t have to be a Muslim to download this app as it is still quite interesting for those of us who don’t have any religion at all.
