Description: Glassteroids is a beautiful 3D arcade space blaster. Take classic 80s arcade gameplay, add an extra dimension, retro minimalist wireframe graphics and an epic soundtrack, and you will start to have an idea of what’s ahead.
The game starts in Pure mode with classic gameplay. Prove yourself by reaching level 10 in Pure and you will unlock Boosted mode. Here you can upgrade your ship with new weapons and abilities, as well as fight new enemies and boss battles.
Review: Glassteroids is a retro-style space shooter in which you need to take down various asteroids. Yes, it really is pretty much like the classic 8-bit game only in VR and of course 3D. I have to say, it was more fun to play than I thought and for a good hour, I was enjoying the simplicity of the game. But then I soon found myself getting bored with the repetitive gameplay and mediocre graphics. It’s probably just about worth the £2.09 asking price, but it is not something you would play more than a few times at most. I feel this is one game better off being brought as part of a cheap bundle with other games, that way it will be a nice surprise in amongst the other crap.
