Kerser (Gear VR)
Intro: Kerser is a high speed endless runner style racer. The player takes control of a ship in third person and guides it through a cyberpunk landscape avoiding obstacles and collecting power-ups to gain points and cash to upgrade their vehicle. Gameplay in Kerser is based around lightning fast hand-eye co-ordination. The player dodges through procedurally generated cityscapes. Difficulty and speed is increased as the player progresses further into the game.
Verdict: Kerser is yet another endless runner that does at least try and bring something new to the gaming table. While it has probably been done before Kerser offers ship upgrades that you can pay for by collection various rings placed randomly around the playing area. To be fair its pretty fast-paced and at times quite exciting. Sadly the repetitiveness does kick in after just a short time and you end up not feeling like you have got your money’s worth. If you like endless runners, this is not a bad one at all. But its probably best to wait for a sale, even for die-hard fans of the genre.
