Review: ‘MOTHERGUNSHIP: FORGE’ is a wave based shooter in which you will be shooting various killer robots with a gun that you pretty much make yourself with modular units. There are even a few boss battles to enjoy which was a highlight. While mostly the graphics are pretty good (and no different than the Steam VR version) there really isn’t a lot of variety at all. The thing is the game is fun and a well made shooter that most people will enjoy. But ingenuity is dead here and it offers nothing over what every other wave shooter offers. Is that a bad thing? No probably not to most people, but when I am paying £14.99 for a game I like it to have a little more originality. There is no moving around here, you are locked into one position, but that also means the focus is on the shooting action which I did enjoy. If you are sick of wave shooters this is best avoided, or wait for it to be in a sale, otherwise, its an OK game that is worth a look, but there is certainly nothing new here.
