Description: Podium Bash is an extremely fun local multiplayer VR game! In the standard gamemode one player in VR stands atop a podium armed with a bat and shield tasked with staying on top for as long as they can. Up to four players using controllers are tasked with knocking the VR player off the podium by shooting cannons at the VR player.
Review: On paper, I suspect Podium Bash seemed like a good idea for a game. But in practice, it really isn’t. While at first it seems there are a few game modes here, in reality there is only one which is the Standard Reverse game mode. The other two and little more than practice sessions. The idea is simple, to stay on the podium for as long as possible all the while AI or online friends and players are trying to knock you off it with cannonballs. Sadly with the total lack of any online players you are stuck with the AI and sadly this is where the game falls apart. It’s just so boring to play, there is no challenge, so fun, not even the graphics are worth looking at! It’s definitely not worth paying £4.99 for this, but if it ever becomes free I would give it a look.
