Description: Space Jones is a FPS VR game. Story: At an era of human space colony expansion, a bounty hunter (the player) accidentally picked up a mysterious treasure named “Star Box”. Therefore, the bounty hunter has been targeted by multiple space pirates. A major war will be triggered at any time. The player will have no choice but to eliminate all the pirate battleships in flocks.
Review: The story goes that your character “Space Jones” has a mysterious treasure called the “Star Box” and space pirates will stop at nothing to steal it from you. So you are left with only one option, to blow them out of the sky! This is a space shooter in the bare essence of what that means, you will be doing little more than shooting ships with your machineguns, rockets and laser.
With asteroids, ships and enemy fire to dodge and shoot this is a game that can often be so fast-paced and chaotic that there are times you won’t be too sure what you are shooting at, or dodging. While this does make the gameplay exciting the lack of movement around space does make it a little boring. But the good news here is that unlike most other space shooters that are all action, with this one there is no VR sickness at all.
OK, so space shooters do indeed have a problem with VR sickness, but eliminating that side effect by eliminating the movement of the ship is not how you deal with the problem! Sure it looks amazing and the action is fast-paced, but you never truly feel part of that action. You feel like you are in a broken ship that can’t go anywhere. But if you don’t mind being able to fly the ship anywhere this is a great game that has more than enough missions to keep you happy for a while.
