Description: “Either the Academy thinks you’re really good…or we’re low on students again..” Abducted, dazed, and slightly confused, prepare for your unexpected enrollment into the Startenders Academy. Your goal, apparently, is to create bizarre beverages for colourful customers in the hope that no one notices you haven’t the slightest clue what’s going on.

Review: ‘Startenders’ is a sci-fi themed bartending game that sees you making basic drinks as well as cocktails with little bits of fruit and other things for a variety of weird and wonderful customers. It’s like working in Mos Eisley Cantina, only a little more friendly. Visually the game looks great and the gameplay is mostly on point. Its the usual affair of making the right drink before the customer leaves, earning money and upgrading all your items. With over 100,000 possible combinations of drinks, it sure has enough variety to keep things interesting.

For the downside of things, I did find the game a little steep on the learning curve and I found even the early levels a struggle. I did have a few issues picking up some of the items and you can’t really play sat down as things are too high up even when the “short-mode” game setting is enabled. But once you get the hang of things you can speed up and plough through the game and there is enough content to justify the asking price. If you like this sort of game this is well worth a download, but it can be difficult if you are a newbie to it.
