VR News: Before VR come along anyone who wished to become a prison officer would have undergone years of training and most of that training would have taken place within a real working prison! But now things have been made a little safer thanks to a training program for prison officers featuring a virtual prison!

My Thoughts on this Story: From train station attendants to prison officers, there really isn’t a lot VR can’t train people for! But I have to say this option is perfect for all those just starting out within the prison service. While VR is a long way away from training people fully it could save a lot of new trainees from having to enter a real prison. While the training is obviously important it is risky putting people new to it all in harm’s way. I just wonder what else someone will come up with using VR that will surprise me!
