Description: Have you ever wondered what it’s like to live in a villa in Southern California? Or an upscale condo in Manhattan? Transported can take you there in VR. Tour incredible properties from all over the world and find inspiration for your home.

Review: Much like the makers of Transported I also believe the future of house buying could lay in the hands of VR. But not just the luxury houses and apartments they features in this app, but all of them. But for now, we have just a few that we can take a look at this app. Using the Oculus Remote or a controller you navigate around a few properties that have been given a 360° photo treatment and then formed into a virtual house tour. They have taken the time to capture pretty much all the things you would look for if you were viewing the house in person.

To be fair, everything is pretty easy to navigate around and the quality of the 360° images is very good indeed. I can’t imagine it having much value to the average VR player, but to the future of VR this could well be something that will take VR into the mainstream and for that, I have to respect the app makers embarking on new ground.

So…the question is would I see someone buying a house after a simple VR tour? Well..no. But travelling around lots of house tours takes time and this app could well give you a good impression of what those properties look like. Then you might go on to do a real house viewing before going on to make a purchase. It could well be the case that transported.co are one of the first few companies to do this sort of thing, but they certainly won’t be the last.
