eMagin Z800 3DVisor

Review: The eMagin Z800 3D Visor is and indeed was one of the very first head-mounted displays (HMD’s) to deliver on their claimed promise of an immersive 3D computing experience. But at the end of the day, it is nothing more than a very well made set of video glasses that offer the equivalent of a 105-inch movie screen viewed at just 12 feet. But as a side bonus, it does offer advanced 360-degree head-tracking which you could use in 3D shooters on the PC like Doom. OK, so it’s not quite a VR headset, but it is still worth a mention.
