VR News: OK, so the title of this post is a little click-bait in style as they aren’t bringing out a VR headset that costs the same as a luxury sports car, but they are using virtual reality for hyper-accurate simulations of how loudspeakers will sound in any given environment! When it comes to sound quality it goes without saying Bang & Olufsen know what they are doing so it’s nice to see them using VR for recreating it.

My Thoughts on this Story: While it sounds as if they are just using it for their own marketing purposes it might still lead to some new sound technology within the VR market. While I wouldn’t ever be able to afford Bang & Olufsen prices I can easily appreciate their high-quality audio equipment. Could it one day lead to some B&O sound tech being placed within a VR headset? Probably not, but it would be nice to imagine it and I am sure this VR experience will be music to anyone’s ears.
