Neverout

Intro: It will lock you down in a room and won’t let you escape. Will you survive or ever get out? Your only choice is to find your way to the next room, but watch out, many traps lie ahead. Wander around for hours solving over 60 beautifully crafted levels.

Neverout is a mysterious puzzle game for Gear VR and Oculus Go. It puts you in a small, claustrophobic room, that has only one way out and its unique mechanics lets every wall become the floor. Watch out for something heavy, getting electrocuted or giant spikes.

Review: While I do feel Neverout could just as easily be played on a 2D screen rather than VR it still helps it to be more immersive, albeit in a scary way. It’s moody, dark and doesn’t hold your hand meaning you will have to work out everything for yourself. But what I love more than most about this game is that it’s just like being in the Cube films! (see a trailer for it here). If you love ‘escape the room’ style games or just a good brain workout, this is one game you should definitely download. With 60+ levels, you get more than enough content for your cash and while the puzzles do feel “samey” after a few hours I still think you get your money’s worth.
