Review: ‘SOUNDART’ is a music rhythm game that I am pleased to say gets the essentials right in a genre where so many others simply don’t. But while the beat mapping is OK (it’s still not great), the gameplay isn’t so cut and dry. In fact, at times it can be quite crap and a lot of that seems to be down to optimization issues. Maybe it is the crazy graphics or something is causing my PC issues, but it seems to judder sometimes even when on the lowest settings. While I don’t think it is worth the current asking price of £15.49, this is mostly due to a lack of songs and game modes, I could see this game easily being a grower with some community work and well worth owning in the future. To be fair, it’s probably the best looking music/rhythm game I have ever played, but sadly it isn’t the most fun which really is all it needed to be.
